About Us

With the securing of the IMPERIAL EASTMAN Agency. the humble beginning of our business began in 1988 with our Managing Director Mr TAN Chin Kok at the helm. With his prior experience in the Hose & Fittings industry, we are proud that we did sufficiently well for a relatively small enterprise, as we also had in our stable DAYCO and other brands to complement our Imperial Eastman range. Unfortunately, after a short period of time, we began to encounter interruption and adverse delay in the supply of our requirements, which could be due to a change in their management.

With the incorporation of FLEX-MATE SDN BHD in July 1991, we had already made strong inroads into the Hose & Fittings industry in this region, and was recognized for our reliability, coupled to our high level of customer service. We realized that it was important for us to work towards securing a more reliable range of products to fulfill our customer needs.

At around the same interim, ALFAGOMMA an Italian entity, specializing in Hydraulic & Industrial Hoses, entered the region, to set up a manufacturing plant in Johore. They entered into a clever joint-venture with MARDEC to produce the popular sizes of Hose for this region. ALFAGOMMA was of course, looking for local representation. Realising that the state of affairs presented the best opportunity for us, our Managing Director, was certainly quick on the up-take and in no uncertain terms, made it known to ALFAGOMMA our history and the already efficient network we had in this region, registering our interest to be a Distributor for their products.

We are glad and proud that ALFAGOMMA appointed us their Exclusive Distributor for this region in 1995, the status of which remains till the present. We carry their full range of products produced by their Malaysian manufacturing plant. However, our inventory is also complemented by products manufactured by their plants in Europe, which are presently not available from their Malaysian product line.

Today, we are confident to be recognized in this region, as one of the top five players, in this extremely competitive industry of Hoses & Fittings, as our inventory also include ancillary equipment to compliment our range of products.
